Tajiri applying a camel clutch to Rene Bonaparte. The wrestler begins the hold by standing over a face-down opponent. The wrestler reaches down to pull the opposing wrestler up slightly, sits on the opponent's back, and places both of the opponent's arms across their thighs, usually locking at least one by placing the arm in the crook of their knee. [1]
A single dry-plate clutch and an unsynchronized three-speed gearbox were bolted to the engine. The gearbox was operated directly with a central shift lever. The drive shaft was enclosed in a torque tube and drove the live rear axle through a spiral bevel drive. [6]
Clutch control is the controlling of the speed of a manual transmission vehicle by partially engaging the clutch plate, using the clutch pedal instead of (or in conjunction with) the accelerator pedal. The purpose of a clutch is in part to allow such control; in particular, a clutch provides transfer of torque between shafts spinning at ...

The clutch pedal controls the pressure plate (clutch engaged – the clutch pedal is not being pressed) or not connected to the engine (clutch disengaged – the clutch pedal is being pressed down). When the engine is running and the clutch is engaged (i.e., clutch pedal up), the flywheel spins the clutch pressure plate and hence the transmission.
A cone clutch serves the same purpose as a disk or plate clutch; however, instead of mating two spinning disks, the cone clutch uses two conical surfaces to transmit torque by friction. [ 1 ] The cone clutch transfers a higher torque than plate or disk clutches of the same size due to the wedging action and increased surface area.
where the grooves of the inner and outer parts are formed as linear races filled with ball bearings to allow for free linear motion even under high torque. To allow longer travel the outer spline can incorporate channels to re-circulate the balls, in this way torque can be transferred from a long shaft while travelling up or down the length.
The size of the tabs or perforations, the number of plates, and the fluid used will determine the strength and onset of this mechanical transfer. This type of device essentially differs from fluid couplings such as torque converters by using the viscosity of the medium to transfer torque, rather than its momentum.
