In my council, a Merit Badge Counselor does not qualify as a registered leader for any activity except working on a Merit Badge. If a Merit Badge Counselor, for example, wants to serve as the 2nd leader on a weekend camp out, they must be registered in a paid position.

Understand that, but I’m interested in a single badge. Want to know counselors in the council for climbing. I can select climbing, use a zip central to the council, we’re not rural, use the 50 mile radius and get 74 counselors. It would be useful to be able to export those 8 pages of counselors into an excel file.

TIA! Many councils have asked that the Merit Badge Counselor list not be exportable, thus the only way to get the data is to view it online. Yes. All registered adults (which includes MBCs) will have a BSA member ID. The counselor should be able to provide it themselves if you ask. If they don’t know it off-hand, they can look it up in the same places as other registered adults can look up theirs:
