Shipley's makes everything by hand in house (or, at the very least, in a single company-owned place with regards to their fillings) and that means certain shops have slightly different menus. Since process is such a major factor in baking, and since different people have slightly different process, you'll get slightly different donuts from each ...

Nobody’s giving actual baking tips here so I’ll do my best. Use bread flour, it has extra gluten in the flour that makes the dough more elastic when kneading/more fluffy when rising, and use a pouliche or starter before you make the actual dough (Wikipedia has a good explanation of what a pouliche is and making one is fairly simple, takes a little time but gives a big improvement in the ...
34 regular/iced donuts. 14 filled donuts. 2 apple fritters. 7 cinnamon rolls. 3 twisty things. 2 long eclair donuts. 2 bearclaws. One order. (I ate a roll and 2 filled donuts before this picture, R.I.P my stomach) I added it all up and it would be around $95 total.
It’s great to see our regional Shipley’s Donut in the food database. Thanks to the developers for all of their great work in improving the food database features! I’ll be partaking in an apple fritter later this morning.
This is still a good haul, but this might be the least amount I've ever seen a Shipley's give. My Shipley gives me like 2 dozen donut boxes (stuffed to the brim so its usually like 14 or 15 in each), a smaller box with at least 8 more, and a stuffed bag of the specialty donuts.
Got shipley’s for $6 and they gave my dad two boxes of donuts, the worker let him pick a couple as well. It’s nice to see TGTG is picking up in Texas, my dad said the worker was super adamant on telling his boss about using the app to curve waste at the end of the day so it’s so cool the word is spreading!!
Shipley’s is a Texas thing, and more specifically and Houston thing. They are my favorite donuts, but I grew up on them. This is true of most donuts but ESPECIALLY Shipley’s. They HAVE to be fresh. If they are even an hour old they are significantly worse. I recommend the traditional glazed donut and the chocolate filled.
We still support Shipley? 350 planned locations in the near term future. That’s more than the total current locations.
