Portofino was featured in 2008 in the BBC television series Top Gear. Richard Hammond, in a Ferrari Daytona raced James May in a carbon fibre powerboat from Portofino to St Tropez in France. Ferrari named one of their sports cars the Ferrari Portofino in 2017. In 2018, the Scuderia Ferrari Club Portofino was founded.

Castello Brown is a historic house museum located high above the harbour of Portofino, northern Italy. Its site has been used for military defence since Roman times. As a Genoese coastal fort, it was called the Castello di San Giorgio. After peace fell upon the region in the early 19th century, the Castello was abandoned.
Originally, the church featured a Lombard Romanesque style, similar to the neighbouring San Giorgio in Portofino. Over the course of its history, the building underwent numerous modifications that altered its appearance; its current look is the result of works carried out at the end of the 19th century. [1]
Cervara Abbey (Italian: Abbazia della Cervara or Abbazia di San Gerolamo al Monte di Portofino) is a former abbey in Santa Margherita Ligure, Liguria region, northern Italy. It is on the coastal road to Portofino. The abbey complex is a designated National Monument of Italy.
