Wyoming Highway 34 (WYO 34) is a 52.38-mile-long (84.30 km) Wyoming state highway known as Laramie-Wheatland Road. Located in Albany and Platte counties, it spans from U.S. Routes 30 and 287 near Bosler to Interstate 25 / U.S. Route 87 in Wheatland .
The Laramie Mountains are a range of moderately high peaks on the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains in the U.S states of Wyoming and Colorado.The range is the northernmost extension of the line of the ranges along the eastern side of the Rockies, and in particular of the higher peaks of the Front Range directly to the south.
Before the late 19th century, the area around the future site of Wheatland was a flat, arid landscape with desert-like vegetation. In 1883 local rancher and judge Joseph M. I-25 enters Laramie County concurrent with US 87 from Weld County, Colorado, southwest of Cheyenne and briefly runs parallel to a BNSF Railway line. The four-lane Interstate has its first interchange, a diamond interchange, with Wyoming Highway 223 (WYO 223, Terry Ranch Road), and crosses over the Union Pacific Railroad's Speer Subdivision rail line and over the BNSF rail line.
