Christ Community Lutheran School or "CCLS" is a private, Lutheran school serving approximately 650 students ages 6 weeks–8th grade in the St. Louis area. Four campuses comprise Christ Community Lutheran School in the Crestwood , Glendale , Kirkwood , and Webster Groves areas.
The college was founded in 1915 by the Sisters of Loretto as Loretto College, a Catholic women's college, one of the first west of the Mississippi River. [9] One of the early founders was Mother Praxedes Carty. [10] Its name was changed to Webster College in 1924. [11] The first male students were admitted in 1962. [12]
Webster Groves High School. Serving grades 9-12, [3] WGHS opened 1889, as a 9th grade general course. In 1996, then-President Bill Clinton visited WGHS to commend the district's drug and violence prevention efforts, the same year that their basketball team won the District 4A State Championship against West Plains High School.

In 1924, Nerinx Hall began educating young women in the Lockwood family home in Webster Groves, Missouri, graduating its first class in May 1925. Over the years the school has grown in enrollment and physical facilities.
