Augustana University Vikings men's ice hockey (2024–) Midco Arena in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is a 3,082-seat [ 1 ] ice hockey arena on the campus of Augustana University . The arena broke ground on October 5, 2021 [ 2 ] and opened as the permanent home of the Augustana Vikings men's ice hockey team on January 26, 2024.
The stadium is to bear the name Kirkeby-Over Stadium in honor of Kari Hall's parents. Construction began on November 12, 2007 [ 6 ] with the official groundbreaking taking place on November 16, 2007. Augustana University recently completed the Hall Football Complex; complete with its own locker rooms, weight room, and football meeting rooms.
The Vikings played their first five home games off campus at Denny Sanford Premier Center. [1] Midco Arena opened on January 26, 2024, and the Vikings played their first game at the arena on the same date. [5] The program is the first varsity ice hockey team at any level to call South Dakota home.
The 2023–24 Augustana (South Dakota) Vikings men's ice hockey season was the inaugural season of play for the program and 1st in the CCHA.The Vikings represented Augustana University, played their home games at Midco Arena and were coached by Garrett Raboin in his 1st season.

Construction of Kirkeby–Over Stadium began in October 2007 on the site of the Vikings’ practice field at 37th Street and Lake Avenue on campus. The completion gave the Vikings an on-campus facility for the first time in half a century. Kari and Bob Hall, who both attended Augustana, donated $6.1 million towards the construction of the stadium.
