"Casanova" is the sixth single by the Dutch girl group Luv', released in the spring of 1979 by Philips Records. This song appears on the formation's second album, Lots Of Luv', and was a Top 10 single in a large part of Continental Europe, maintaining Luv's position as the best Dutch export act of 1979.
The song was released just prior to the band's October European tour, [44] and is the second single taken from their sixth album, released in February 2024. [46] In its first week, the song reached number 39 on the New Zealand Singles Chart , [ 47 ] and was the second-highest performing track by a New Zealand artist that week.
"Casanova" is a single by French singer songwriter and producer WeRe-VaNa of Guadeloupe origin whose real name is Évariste Geoffroy and sings in Gwo ka music mixed with modern hip hop, R'n'B and contemporary pop. He was a member of the band Kan'nida, a band performing traditional music.
The album's sixth track, "Songs of Love", made its debut on the popular Channel 4 sitcom Father Ted, [5] officially remaining the show's theme song, as heard in its opening titles and end credits. The song was later covered by Ben Folds on his EP Sunny 16 in 2003 and Peter Bjorn and John as part of Under the Radar 's Covers of Covers album in 2022.
All songs on the album were credited as written by the full band, composed of vocalist Axl Rose, guitarists Slash and Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler, while "It's So Easy" was co-written by West Arkeen and "Anything Goes" was co-written by Chris Weber, formerly of Hollywood Rose.
