American Fork High School was established in 1902. [4] [better source needed] The first classes were held in the back rooms of a downtown bank. [5]The school was eventually moved to the Harrington School building, located where the American Fork Recreation Center and Pool Facilities now stand, until the current facility was constructed.
Kearns High School is a public high school located at 5525 S. Cougar Lane (4800 W.) Kearns, Utah, United States. It was opened in 1966 with its first graduating class graduating in 1967. [3] It serves 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. The official mascot is a Cougar and the school colors are green and gold.
In previous eras it was common for people visiting the school and students to have firearms within their vehicles due to the firearm-centric culture of Emery County. By 1999 the district made plans to stop this practice in wake of Utah state laws prohibiting the practice.
