Forks, also previously known as the unincorporated town of Quillayute, is a city in southwest Clallam County, Washington, United States. The population was 3,335 at the 2020 census . [ 4 ] It is named after the forks in the nearby Bogachiel , Calawah , and Sol Duc rivers which join to form the Quillayute River .
The river and its forks rise in the northwestern part of the Olympic Peninsula and flow generally south and west to join the Quillayute River near its mouth on the Pacific Ocean. The highway, known as Mora Road, [1] begins at SR 110 west of Forks and travels west across the Sol Duc River into Olympic National Park and the Quileute Indian Reservation, crossing the Dickey River into Mora.
