Sauk Valley Community College (SVCC) is a public community college in Dixon, Illinois, United States. It was established in 1965 and was built on the Rock River between the cities of Sterling and Dixon. The college offers an assortment of transfer degree majors (e.g., A.A., A.S.), career-technical degrees (A.A.S.) and certificates.
Along with these major sites, SVCC has many smaller off-campus sites scattered throughout its service region that serve a large number of students. Alfred A. Roberts served as the president of SVCC from 2014 until his retirement. He was succeeded in 2019 by Dr Quentin R. Johnson, the sixth president of the college. [1] [2]

Southern Vales Christian College first opened in September 1980 as Morphett Vale Christian Community School operating as a ministry of the Morphett Vale Baptist Church (today known as Harvest Church). A second campus in Aldinga was opened in early 1991. Both campuses are promoted as having extensive experience with special needs students. [1]
In September 1974, the Parham Road Campus opened in a newly constructed, contemporary building located on a 105-acre (0.42 km 2) site in northern Henrico County.A second instructional building was completed on this suburban campus in time for the opening of classes in the fall of 1980.
