In 1961 Noord Brabants Landschap made a start with acquiring grounds. It bought a 4.5 hectares terrain in Baarschot with a mere known locally as Krantven. The second terrain was known as 'Het Zand' of about 1.5 hectares, and bordered the Oranjebond terrains south of Hilvarenbeek. [10]
