A Breyer horse model of Phantom Wings was made from 1983 to 1987. [9] The mare's second foal – a solid chestnut filly, with no markings, named Wisp O'Mist – was born on 21 March 1961. Her name was chosen from one of the runner-up entries to publisher Rand McNally's earlier naming contest for Phantom Wings.
Horses in the collection included palomino, black, bay, and chestnut color variations of Thunderbolt. Other horses included Buckskin and Comanche. Buckskin (despite its name) was available in brown or palomino, each with fixed legs and a neck and head complete with full articulation.
