The Los Angeles County Fair is an annual county fair. It was first held on October 17, 1922, and ran for five days through October 21, 1922, in a former beet field in Pomona, California . [ 1 ] Highlights of the fair's first year were harness racing , chariot races and an airplane wing-walking exhibition. [ 2 ]
Known prior to 1984 as the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds, it is located in the city of Pomona, California. The L.A. County Fair is held during the month of May since 2022, but the facility is used year-round to host a variety of educational, commercial, and entertainment such as trade and consumer shows, conventions, and sporting events.
[3] [4] Currently, entry to the museum is free and open to the public on the second weekend of each month, besides daily in May during the L.A. County Fair. [4] A notable locomotive in the collection is the Union Pacific 4014, which was on display at the museum until 2014, when it was moved for restoration. [4]
Tickets are $12 and can be purchased through the Performing Arts Center.

Originally known as the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition, the event now includes entries in the categories of wine, spirits, beer and extra virgin olive oil. The competition was created as part of the L.A. County Fair. Local guests could submit their wines and receive medals for their entries.
