The Port of Hueneme is located south of Oxnard in the city of Port Hueneme and is jointly operated by the United States Navy and the Oxnard Harbor District. The port is the only deep water port between the Port of Long Beach and the Port of San Francisco , as well as the only military deep water port between San Diego Bay and Puget Sound .

The museum was located in Oxnard, California, designed by architect Vincent Dyer and home to Otis Chandler's extensive collection of vintage and rare automobiles, motorcycles, and trains as well as fine art and wildlife game. After its founder died, the collection was auctioned off in late 2006.

The Henry T. Oxnard Historic District is a 70-acre (28 ha) historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. Covering approximately F and G streets, between Palm and 5th streets, in the downtown core of Oxnard, California, the district includes 139 contributing buildings and includes homes mostly built before 1925.
Oxnard High School was established in 1902 as the first public high school in the city of Oxnard (the private Santa Clara High School opened the year before).
