North Sioux City is bounded on the east by the Big Sioux River [7] and on the west by the oxbow McCook Lake.. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.29 square miles (5.93 km 2), of which 2.26 square miles (5.85 km 2) is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 km 2) is water.
The museum was co-founded by Gerald E. Teachout in 1983. [2] Fundraising for a new building began in 1985, but the museum was given four former F-89 hangars and a two-story building that had been planned for demolition. [1] The hangars and building were moved to the museum's current location near the base's main gate in 1992. [3] [4]

Dell Rapids is a city in Minnehaha County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 3,996 at the 2020 census. [7] It is known as "The Little City with the Big Attractions." The city took its name from the Dells of the Wisconsin River, which were likened to the local rapids on the Big Sioux River. [8]
