The Triple J news theme introduced in 1991 is a remix of the ABC's "Majestic Fanfare". The Triple J news theme is a "very 90s remix" of the classic ABC News theme "Majestic Fanfare". It was written and produced by Paul McKercher and John Jacobs in 1991, and is still used as of 2024.

The 2024 Triple J Hottest 100 was broadcast on 25 January 2025. It was the 32nd annual countdown of the most popular songs of the year, as voted by listeners of Australian youth radio station Triple J. Two days later, on 27 January, the station announced the Hottest 200, counting down songs 200–101.
The triple j Hottest 100 allows members of the public to vote online for their top ten songs of the year, which are then used to calculate the year's 100 most popular songs. Any song initially released between 1 December 2020 and 30 November 2021 was eligible for the 2021 triple j Hottest 100. Voting opened on 14 December 2021.
Every Friday morning, Triple J broadcasts Like a Version, a live music segment where an artist performs an original track and covers another artist's song. The programme began in 2004. [4] The Hottest 100 of Like a Version was announced on 18 May 2023, when Triple J uploaded over 400 classic covers from the segment on their YouTube channel. [5]
Triple J used to issue compilation albums on CD for several of its specialty music programs, including The Racket, [27] House Party (until 2017), [28] Hip Hop Show (from 2005) and Home and Hosed (from 2003 to 2006), [29] as well as for its Like a Version (from 2005 to 2021) [28] and Live at the Wireless (until 2010) formats.

Like a Version is a long-running weekly segment on Australian youth radio station Triple J. It involves musicians playing two songs live in the Triple J studio, one of their own songs and then a cover version. The series was created by presenter Mel Bampton in 2004 as part of the Mel in the Morning program. [1]
