Some schools ‘sell’ harder than others. The thing is, admissions is its own world and really isn’t connected to the university in terms of the education/environment/etc. Snazzy communications from admissions doesn’t necessarily equate to anything in particular about the institution., but I realize it’s flattering to get fun swag.

Student needs to finish the application via Common App (essay loaded via Common App), pays the application fee and then a few days later receives UT EID information via email. Then login MyStatus portal to see the application status. Once reaching such stage, your student can safely considered meeting the priority deadline.

I believe the auto-admit status is based solely on rank in your student’s transcript. UT usually releases auto-admit decision (not major) about 2 weeks after they process the transcript. Rec letters and resume should not have impact on the auto-admit decision.
Hi all, I have a question. I have recently updated my transcript for spring grades and it says UT has received my transcript, however, on MyStatus, it’s still saying that I need 30 hours of transfer coursework. At the current moment with my updated transcript, they should be able to see that I have 31 credit hrs and I have passed all my courses. I’m not too sure why this is happening ...
Let the posts begin for the High School Class of 2021 applying for Fall 2021 at UT! I submitted my application through ApplyTexas on Sept 30th. My MyStatus page under Admission it says my application is incomplete because my counselor hasn’t sent in my transcripts yet.
I applied to UT which is my first choice school about 3 days after admissions opened in august. They have received all of my transcripts and necessary information. I check my status daily but there have been no updates. How long should it be before I know if I got in? I applied to the school of liberal arts if that makes a difference.
