  2. Glock 19 Gen 3 | Glock Talk

    www.glocktalk.com/threads/glock-19-gen-3.1985582

I have Glock 19.3, 19.4 and 19.5. I like the redesigned take down latch spring on the Gen five as I’ve seen the small z spring fail on previous generations. I reload and my 19.5 throws brass a long way. I like the way my 19.3 shoots so for reloading the 19.3 is desirable. I got brass to the face and weak ejection with my 19.4.

  3. Glock 19 Gen 5 vs Gen 3 | Glock Talk

    www.glocktalk.com/threads/glock-19-gen-5-vs-gen-3.1891073

The magazine release on the Gen 5’a are larger than the Gen 3. Gen 5 has a match grade barrel, beveled muzzle (both slide and frame), slightly flared mag well, ambi slide release, no finger grooves, better texturing and four back straps. And of course the front slide serrations. The RSA is dual and not the straight rod.

  4. Glock 19: Gen 3 or 5?? **POLL** - Glock Talk

    www.glocktalk.com/threads/glock-19-gen-3-or-5-poll.1998994

19.5 is a true update and has a lot that people like. 19.3 if you like finger groves. Glocks in general tend to be reliable. I am sure people have complaints about all Glock gens. We might see more gen 5 problems as they are the main Glock being bought. Gen 5 would be my pick for a range gun.

  6. glock 19 gen 3 gen 4 slide difference

    www.glocktalk.com/threads/glock-19-gen-3-gen-4-slide...

Welcome to Glock Talk. The important difference between the Gen4 G19 slide and pre-Gen4 G19 slides is the recoil spring assembly boss at the front of the slide. Because the Gen4 G19 uses a captive dual-spring RSA, and the pre-Gen4 models use a captive single-spring RSA, the Gen4 slide RSA boss is wider and will NOT fit pre-Gen4 frames.

  7. Glock Performance Trigger in Gen 3 - Observations & Safety

    www.glocktalk.com/threads/glock-performance-trigger-in-gen...

Here are my conclusions: A) GPT & Gen 3 is indeed a safe and simple mod to do, provided you keep the trigger shoe stock. However, be aware that the vertical extension/shark's fin geometry might not be the best in terms of centering on the plunger. B) I do not consider Gen 3 pistol + GPT + Vex shoe combination to be safe, based on issue 1 above.

  8. Gen 3 19 vs Glock 19x | Glock Talk

    www.glocktalk.com/threads/gen-3-19-vs-glock-19x.1770012

NorCalG said: 19x has a great trigger, high capacity yet 19 conceals better. The G19 has the same capacity as the G19X as long as they are using the same magazine. Unfortunately, the G19X can NOT use G19 magazines nor Gen5 G17 magazines...pretty bizarre!

  9. G19...Gen 3 vs. Gen 5 | Glock Talk

    www.glocktalk.com/threads/g19-gen-3-vs-gen-5.1691300

Gen 3, 4, and 5 G19s owner here. Gen 5 keeps some of the good gen 4 features (like factory texture, back straps, larger & reversible mag release) and added ambi slide stop, (slightly) improved the trigger, ditched the finger grooves, flared the magwell, 3 factory sight options, and added a barrel that's capable of a little improved accuracy ...

The reduced power Striker Spring should also help lighten the trigger pull weight. You will probably want an #18 Recoil Spring using full power ammo in a G19. I have the Wolfe SS Un-captured Guide Rods in my two Gen 3's. I have the #17 spring in my G37, and an #18 spring in my G38.
