State Route 77 (abbreviated SR 77) is part of Maine's system of numbered state highways, located in eastern Cumberland County. It runs for 12.3 miles (19.8 km) from SR 207 in Scarborough to the intersection of Park Avenue and State Street in Portland (a terminus it shares with SR 22 and SR 25 ).

Maine's route marker is a simple black-on-white design, nearly identical to route markers used in Massachusetts. One- and two-digit numbered routes use 24-by-24-inch (610 mm × 610 mm) or 36-by-36-inch (910 mm × 910 mm) signs while three-digit numbered routes use 30-by-24-inch (760 mm × 610 mm) or 45-by-36-inch (1,140 mm × 910 mm) signs.
He was responsible for laying out Portland's State Street, now part of Maine State Route 77. His former home on State Street, built in 1801, is now known as the Joseph Holt Ingraham House and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. He also built the city's Ingraham Wharf.
