Fayette Historic State Park is a historic preservation and public recreation area encompassing the historic town of Fayette in the U.S. state of Michigan.It is located on the Big Bay de Noc of Lake Michigan, between Snail Shell Harbor and Sand Bay, on the southern side of the Upper Peninsula, about 17 miles south of US 2.
Sweitzer Lake State Park is a Colorado state park located in Delta County 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Delta, Colorado. The 210-acre (85 ha) park established in 1960 includes a 137-acre (55 ha) reservoir. Facilities include a boat ramp, swim beach and picnic sites. [2] Birdwatchers have spotted 170 different species in the park. [3]
In December 1966, linemen from the Alger-Delta Cooperative Electric Association of Gladstone, Michigan, began running electrical lines from the Harris area (i.e., West U.S. 2) onto the Hannahville Indian Reservation, a distance of approximately five miles (8 km). The cable installation was completed on December 23, 1966.
