Later in the series, Judith married Alistair Deacon, played by Philip Bretherton. In 1995, Brooker appeared in the BBC1 miniseries Ghosts , appearing in the second episode "Blood and Water" as Angela McClean, a woman unnaturally close to her brother.
As Time Goes By is a British romantic sitcom that aired on BBC One from 12 January 1992 to 30 December 2005, running for nine series and two specials. Starring Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer, it follows the relationship between two former lovers who meet unexpectedly after losing contact for 38 years.
Jenny drops out of her course after becoming bored and starts an affair with married dentist, Robert Weston (Philip Bretherton). When he leaves his wife, she moves in with him but the relationship does not last very long, and, in 1991, Robert went back to his wife and Jenny left the street.
