The Men's Pan American Junior Championship is a men's international under-21 field hockey tournament organized by the Pan American Hockey Federation.The tournament has been held since 1978 and serves as a qualification tournament for the Junior World Cup.

The team is controlled by the governing body for field hockey in the United States, USA Field Hockey, which is a member of the Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) and the International Hockey Federation (FIH). [2] [3] The team's first recorded appearance was at the 1988 Pan American Junior Championship, where the team finished in second place.
On 29 May 2020 the Pan American Hockey Federation announced that the tournament was rescheduled and would take place from 12 to 25 April 2021. [2] Later on 15 January, it was announced that the competition would take place from 21 to 28 August 2021. [citation needed] Argentina were the defending champions, winning the 2016 edition. [3]
