Gesa Stadium (formerly Dust Devils Stadium) is a Minor League Baseball park in the northwest United States, located in Pasco, Washington. Opened 30 years ago in 1995, it is the home field of the Tri-City Dust Devils of the Northwest League .
One stadium was built in the 1940s, two in the 1950s, and one in each of the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. The highest seating capacity is 6,803 at Avista Stadium in Spokane, Washington, where the Spokane Indians play. The lowest capacity is 3,654 at Gesa Stadium in Pasco, Washington, where the Tri-City Dust Devils play.
The Dust Devils play their home games at Gesa Stadium, which opened in 1995 as Tri-City Stadium. Upon the arrival of the Dust Devils in 2001 the stadium was changed from its original name to Dust Devil Stadium. The stadium has a seating capacity of 3,654.
Its full name is Gesa Field at Martin Stadium due to Richland-based Gesa Credit Union signing a 10-year sponsorship deal in 2021 for the playing surface; it has used artificial turf since its inception in 1972, with infilled FieldTurf used since 2000.
The Northwest League (or the Northwestern League) has existed in various forms since 1890, and has been in its current incarnation since 1955. [1] The current NWL is the descendant of the Western International League (WIL), a Class B league from 1937 to 1951 (with a stoppage during World War II) and Class A from 1952 to 1954.
In the 2021 Minor League Baseball realignment, the Dust Devils were elevated along with most of the former Northwest League to full-season High-A baseball under the new High-A West league name, and were assigned affiliation with the Angels. From 2005 to 2016, there was also professional indoor football team called the Tri-Cities Fever.
