Manasik (Arabic: مناسك) is the whole of rites and ceremonies that have to be performed by Islamic pilgrims in and around Mecca. The Qur'an differentiates between two manasiks: The Manasik of Hajj , has to be done in the month Dhu al-Hijjah and The Manasik of ʿUmra , which can be performed any time of the year.

SS Vaitarna, popularly known as Vijli or Haji Kasam ni Vijli, was a steamship owned by A J Shepherd & Co, Bombay that disappeared on 8 November 1888 off the coast of Kathiawar (now Saurashtra region of Gujarat) in the 1888 Arabian Sea cyclone during a crossing from Mandvi to Bombay. More than 740 people on board went missing in the disaster.
