Psalm 150 was a seven-piece Jesus music band notable for its horn section, rhythmic style and soulful sound at a time when Christian contemporary music was generally performed with acoustic or soft electric folk/pop songs. The band was initially active between 1971 and 1976 reforming in 2008.
The most notable band members were guitarist Randy Thomas, formerly of the Jesus music group Sweet Comfort Band and vocalist Bob Carlisle. [2] Carlisle went on to pursue a solo career and recorded the hit song "Butterfly Kisses", which was co-written with Randy. Sam O. Scott and Jimmy Erickson were both formerly of Psalm 150.
