The Hudson Rail Link is a feeder bus system, operated by Consolidated Bus Transit for Metro-North Railroad, in the northwest Bronx in New York City. It connects the Riverdale and Spuyten Duyvil stations on the Hudson Line to the neighborhoods of the same name. Service began in 1991, and route M began in 2002.
All local buses are operated by the Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority, except for the Bx23, which is operated by the MTA Bus Company. Metro-North also provides local rail service within the New York City boroughs of Manhattan and the Bronx. Metro-North is the descendant of commuter rail services dating back as early as 1832. By 1969, they had all been acquired by Penn Central. MTA acquired all three lines by 1972, but Penn Central continued to operate them under contract.

The current station was built in 1896–97 and designed by Morgan O'Brien, New York Central and Hudson River Railroad principal architect. It replaced an earlier one that was built in 1874 when the New York Central and the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, the ancestors of today's Metro-North, moved the tracks from an open cut to the present-day elevated viaduct.
