Winton Malcolm Blount, known as Red Blount (February 1, 1921 – October 24, 2002), was an American philanthropist and politician who served as the United States Postmaster General from January 22, 1969, to January 1, 1972.
She was the daughter of Captain Boyd Alexander Cuninghame of the Royal Navy and his Australian wife, Mary (née Wilkinson). She married the Honourable George Montgomerie on 13 November 1873. Winton was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, [2] in 1905. [1] The deaths of her father when she was four years old and her mother when she was six led to Winton's being "swapped back and forth among relatives, none of whom had proper funds to support her and therefore offered her more resentment than affection."
