Deicide is an American death metal band from Tampa, Florida. Formed in 1987 by drummer/composer Steve Asheim and guitarist brothers Eric and Brian Hoffman as "Carnage", then hiring bassist/vocalist/lyricist Glen Benton and becoming "Amon". They changed the band name to Deicide in 1989. [1]

Jack Owen (born December 6, 1967) is an American guitarist and a member of the death metal band Six Feet Under. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] He was one of the founding members of Cannibal Corpse . He also had a stint with Deicide —another influential and long-running Florida death metal band—with whom he recorded four albums.
Glen Michael Benton [2] (born June 18, 1967) is an American musician, best known as the lead vocalist, lyricist and bassist for the Florida death metal band Deicide.. In addition to his work with Deicide, Benton was also a of member of the band Vital Remains, occasionally recording and performing with the band.
Later, they changed the band name to Deicide. On January 25, 2007, when making a trip to a bank in Innsbruck, Austria, to make a deposit from Deicide merchandise sales, Asheim was arrested on suspicion of connection with a recent bank robbery. Live favorite 'Trifixion' is indeed one of the better cuts from the release, but it's easier to consider this disc (and most records like it) as a whole. Deicide's compositions and performances are solid and serious throughout".
