Brandon Hall, 1937. Brandon Hall was formally a large working cotton plantation located on the scenic Natchez Trace. The land on which Brandon Hall now stands first passed into private ownership as a royal grant from the Spanish King Carlos III in 1788. In 1809 the property was sold at public auction to William Lock Chew for the sum of $7,000.

Brandon Cemetery (commonly referred to as Old Brandon Cemetery) is located in Brandon, Mississippi, northeast of the Downtown Brandon Historic District. It is an 8.8 acre cemetery originally platted in 1831. The cemetery contains over 1,000 marked graves, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. [4]
The two other active cemeteries are Mount Wollaston Cemetery off Route 3A and Hall Cemetery on Crescent Street in West Quincy. Seven acres of land has been added to Pine Hill Cemetery in West Quincy.
