Montana Highway 35 passes through the community, leading north 5 miles (8 km) into Bigfork and south 28 miles (45 km) to Polson, the Lake county seat. Kalispell is 22 miles (35 km) northwest of Woods Bay via highways 35, 82, and 93.
The J. C. Adams Stone Barn is a historic Romanesque Revival barn constructed of stone and wood located about 1 mile (1.6 km) northeast of the town of Sun River, Montana, in the United States. Big Stone Colony is a Hutterite community [3] and census-designated place (CDP) in Cascade County, Montana, United States. It is in the east-central part of the county, bordered to the east by Sand Coulee and 11 miles (18 km) south of Great Falls. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. [2]
