The Liberation of Skopje (Macedonian: Ослободување на Скопје, Osloboduvanje na Skopje) is a 2016 Macedonian drama film directed by Rade Šerbedžija and Danilo Šerbedžija. Aleksandar Makedonski was formed in 1986 in Skopje, then in socialist Yugoslavia as an offshoot of the prominent punk rock group Badmingtons, and it included the frontman Vladimir Petrovski - Karter (guitar, vocals), Dejan Škartov-Deko (), Zoran Janković - Bajo (bass guitar), Vladimir Dimovski and the female singer Melita Stefanovska (backing vocals).

Filming took place in several cities in then SR Macedonia including Bitola, Tetovo as well as the production company's studios in the country's capital Skopje.
