Moberly Area Community College (MACC) is a public community college based in Moberly, Missouri. In addition to the Moberly campus, MACC has four campuses across a large portion of Northeastern and central Mid-Missouri regions of the state of Missouri : Columbia , Hannibal , Kirksville , and Mexico .
The city of Moberly was born of a railroad auction on September 27, 1866. The county incorporated the town in 1868 with a board of trustees. The same year that the Wabash Railroad, St. Louis & Pacific Railway shops were finished in Moberly, [11] [12] the city entered a charter into state record and incorporated. [13]

Monroe City is in the northeast corner of Monroe County, with a small portion extending north into Marion County and a still smaller portion reaching east into Ralls County. U.S. Routes 24 and 36 split at Monroe City, with US 36 leading west-northwest 42 miles (68 km) to Macon and US 24 leading west-southwest 46 miles (74 km) to Moberly.
Seven main buildings make up the Springfield campus. Graff Hall, and what is now Lincoln Hall were the first buildings when the college began. Lincoln Hall is listed on the National Register of Historical Places as one of the first African-American schools in Springfield. The Norman K. Meyers building was constructed in 1997 [4] [5]
The "Fitzsimmons-John Arena," (built in 1998) is the arena at Moberly Area Community College. It is named for Fitzsimmons and his predecessor as coach at Moberly, Maurice John.
