Richardson Independent School District (RISD or Richardson ISD) is an independent school district in northern Dallas County, Texas, based in Richardson.The 46-square-mile (120 km 2) district serves the Dallas County portions of Richardson; [a] the Lake Highlands, Northwood Hills, and Prestonwood neighborhoods of Dallas; and small portions of Garland.
The attendance rate for students at the school is 95%, compared with a state average of 96%. 44% of the students at Berkner are economically disadvantaged, 17% enroll in special education, 4% enroll in gifted and talented programs, 24% are enrolled in career and technology programs, and 21% are considered "limited English proficient."
Richardson's sports mascot is the Eagle; students, teachers, and alumni are referred to as Eagles; and the team shares Eagle-Mustang Stadium (capacity 12,000) with J. J. Pearce High School. The school was the University Interscholastic League State Champions for Men's & Woman's Soccer in 1985.
J. J. Pearce High School is a high school located in Richardson, Texas, United States. It is named after Joseph Jones “J.J.” Pearce, [2] the superintendent for the Richardson Independent School District (RISD) from 1946 to 1977. [3] In 2018, it had an enrollment of 2,323 and a student-teacher ratio of 14.5:1.

The school is part of the Richardson Independent School District and is in central Lake Highlands near the DART Blue Line. The Lake Highlands Freshman Center (which sits on the same property as LHHS) formerly housed the 9th-grade students, but has recently been integrated into the rest of the school, housing classes for all 9–12 students.
In addition Park Lane Elementary opened, serving areas previously zoned to Lee. By 2007 the enrollment was about 250, 30% from outside of the school's attendance zone, with enrollment being about 45% of the building's capacity and with only the ground floor in use.
