"Colonel" Simon Perkins (1805–1887) was an American businessman, farmer, state senator, and entrepreneur. He was born in Warren, Ohio , in 1805, but spent most of his life in Akron, Ohio . He was the oldest son of Simon Perkins , the founder of the City of Akron.
