Pevita Pearce made her film debut in John de Rantau's comedy Denias, Senandung Di Atas Awan (2006). Her breakthrough role was in Rachmania Arunita's romance Lost in Love (2008), where she had to compete with more than 1000 other applicants at the casting, and was nominated for Citra Award for Best Actress at the Indonesian Film Festival in 2008.
