Coomer was the name of a rural post office in the township from 1892 until 1906. [4]Two Rivers is an unincorporated community located at the intersection of W. River Road and S. Littlefield Road, near the confluence of the Chippewa and Coldwater Rivers, hence the name.
As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 2,278 people, 846 households, and 620 families residing in the township. The population density was 64.4 inhabitants per square mile (24.9/km 2).
