It's a little less accurate than the 4.5 but so much more fun. I either run mine with a comp or with my suppressor. Tactical Solutions Pac-lite 4.5 fluted - I like the classic look of the Mark IV but not the weight so these barrels are fitting. I think they are marginally better than the Ruger Lite barrels but they could be better.

Yesterday Ruger announced (via email to their customers) that they are now producing a Massachusetts approved and compliant set of Mark IV pistols with the Target and Hunter designations. The model numbers for these guns are 40160 for the Hunter and 40159 for the Target (spec sheets showing the MA ...
I faced the same decision a couple years ago and ended out going with the Mark IV stainless target. The 5.5” bull barrel balances perfectly, and frankly I prefer the black-on-black Target sights. Once I threw in VQ internals, a Tandemkross trigger, and some hogue grips, it became an incredibly accurate, ultra-reliable, perfectly balanced ...

This is only a “range toy” for cheap plinking/fun so not looking to spend a lot of $$ on this purchase. I ordered some upgrades, including a “Shadow ...

Yes, the Volquartsen frames are pretty pricey in the $300 and $400 range, but on the plus side, they'll already have a sweet trigger, mag disconnect delete, etc. A Ruger frame would be much cheaper, but don't hold your breath waiting for them to become available.
I have the Mark IV target model. It had target sights similar to my single action Ruger revolvers. I replaced the targets sights with the Ruger Mark IV fiber optic hunter sight set. My shooting was actually worse with these sights, so I put the original target sights back on and painted a portion of the front sight with orange fingernail polish ...
The gun should work consistently with minimags. No gun will truly be "flawless", but you should be able to expect 98% with a MK IV cleaned and lubed running minimags. And, I would add that my MK IV 22/45 Lite has been extremely reliable, way above the 98% I mentioned above. (My 98% number comes from 22 Plinkster).
Looking for models which will specifically work well on a new Mark IV Lite 22/45. Probably the more popular front sight that works well with the Mark Series would be the Hi-Viz light-wave fiber optic. It will come with green, red, and I think white light tubes. Depending on where you get it, it'll be between $34 to $40.
