The present church was built in 1829 and is dedicated to St Paul. It is built of brown brick with light headers to give a chequer-board effect. The side door and the adjacent windows have been blocked up. The medium-height tower is at the west end, the top stage is octagonal with a leaded roof and it is surmounted by a weather vane.
Also within the parish is the mansion of Iscoyd Park, a grade II* listed 18th century house. There is a listed war memorial near to Iscoyd Park. [14] Whitewell Parish Hall is grade II listed and along with the rectory is in the style of John Douglas, although not previously attributed to him. [15]
