Paugus Bay is a 1,227-acre (4.97 km 2) [1] water body located in Belknap County in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire, United States, in the city of Laconia.A short channel at its north end connects it with Lake Winnipesaukee in the village of Weirs Beach, and a dam on its southern end separates it from Opechee Bay in the village of Lakeport.
Andrew Jackson State Park is a 360-acre (1.5 km 2) South Carolina state park established in 1952 to honor the only South Carolina-born president, Andrew Jackson, who was born nearby in 1767. The park is on U.S. Highway 521 about nine miles north of Lancaster, South Carolina. The park offers hiking, boating, camping, fishing and picnicking.
The state park is located on Desportes Island on Lake Wateree, 17 miles from Winnsboro, SC and 14 miles from Ridgeway, SC. The building sits beside the salt marsh, north of the causeway entry road at Huntington Beach State Park and the park's marsh boardwalk. The original building, was destroyed in a fire in the early morning hours on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, caused by a lightning strike.
