The Greensboro Science Center (GSC) was established in 1957 as the Greensboro Junior Museum. By its 40th anniversary in 1997, it was attracting some 200,000 visitors each year, [1] and attendance has continued to grow to 434,718 as of 2017. [5] [citation needed] The current executive director, Glenn Dobrogosz, [6] was hired in 2004 [7]
The transit center (upper level) is shared between the Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) and Greyhound Lines. Both operators have their own tickets/information and waiting areas, with GTA operating daily at scheduled times and Greyhound operating 24-hours. Outside, there are 22 bus bays, 18 dedicated to GTA and four to Greyhound Lines.
