The Bay City Rollers are a Scottish pop rock known for their worldwide teen idol popularity as a boy band in the 1970s. One of many 70s acts heralded as the "biggest group since the Beatles ", [ 4 ] they were called the " tartan teen sensations from Edinburgh", and sold 120 million albums.
In the UK during the 1970s, the Bay City Rollers went number one twice, and had 6 records Certified silver and 2 Certified gold. [3] Wood played rhythm guitar until 1976, when bassist Alan Longmuir left the band and was replaced by Ian Mitchell, then Wood moved to bass guitar.
In the late 1980s, Faulkner formed his own version of Bay City Rollers called "The New Rollers". Patrick James "Pat" McGlynn (born 31 March 1958 in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a former rhythm guitarist for the Bay City Rollers. In late 1976, McGlynn briefly joined the Rollers as a replacement for band member Ian Mitchell.

Derek Longmuir (born 19 March 1951, Edinburgh, Scotland) is a Scottish former drummer and a founding member of the pop group Bay City Rollers. His elder brother Alan Longmuir played bass guitar in the group.
