The Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple / ˈ oʊ k ər / is a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in South Jordan, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City.The intent to build the temple was announced on October 1, 2005, by church president Gordon B.
