The circle Hough Transform (CHT) is a basic feature extraction technique used in digital image processing for detecting circles in imperfect images. The circle candidates are produced by “voting” in the Hough parameter space and then selecting local maxima in an accumulator matrix.
The following is a different example showing the results of a Hough transform on a raster image containing two thick lines. The results of this transform were stored in a matrix. Cell value represents the number of curves through any point. Higher cell values are rendered brighter.
A simple elastic snake is defined by a set of n points for =, …,, the internal elastic energy term , and the external edge-based energy term .The purpose of the internal energy term is to control the deformations made to the snake, and the purpose of the external energy term is to control the fitting of the contour onto the image.
OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) is a library of programming functions mainly for real-time computer vision. [2] Originally developed by Intel, it was later supported by Willow Garage, then Itseez (which was later acquired by Intel [3]).
In languages which support first-class functions and currying, map may be partially applied to lift a function that works on only one value to an element-wise equivalent that works on an entire container; for example, map square is a Haskell function which squares each element of a list.
Using systematic transformations from the example (rows 2 and 3), we are able to transform both images such that corresponding points are on the same horizontal scan lines (row 4). Our model for this example is based on a pair of images that observe a 3D point P, which corresponds to p and p' in the pixel coordinates of each image.
A contour map is a map illustrated with contour lines, for example a topographic map, which thus shows valleys and hills, and the steepness or gentleness of slopes. [4] The contour interval of a contour map is the difference in elevation between successive contour lines.
These two popular methodologies are both closely associated with and based on the local structure matrix. Compared to the Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi corner detector, the Harris corner detector provides good repeatability under changing illumination and rotation, and therefore, it is more often used in stereo matching and image database retrieval.
