Crimewatch Live (previously known as Crimewatch Roadshow Live or simply Crimewatch Roadshow and originally as Crimewatch Daily) is a British television programme produced by BBC Studios Documentary Unit Cymru Wales, that reconstructs major unsolved crimes in order to gain information from the public which may assist in solving them.
Crime Limited was the second spin-off from Crimewatch which took cameras behind the scenes of the crimes. The first series aired on BBC One over ten episodes in 1992 and was presented by Nick Ross [57] and Sue Cook. A second series ran in 1993 and a third series ran in 1994. [58] [59]
First aired on 10 August 1999, a new yearly programme called Crimewatch Solved was transmitted. It was the fourth spin-off from the main Crimewatch programme. Originally presented by Nick Ross, the series includes cases, features and reports of crimes which resulted in convictions.
Since September 2023, the show has been presented by journalist Carla O'Brien. It is a second RTÉ adaptation of German crime programme Aktenzeichen XY… ungelöst, and its format matches that of its British derivative Crimewatch and re-enacts unsolved crimes. Investigation Discovery (ID) is a channel dedicated to true crime documentaries that launched in 2008. Most of ID's programs are original productions. It also airs re-titled off-network reruns, including ABC's 20/20, CBS's 48 Hours, and NBC's Dateline.

This move resulted in the loss of Crime Watch Daily's major market clearances, as the stations were intent on replacing it with their new acquisition. Facing a continued ratings struggle, Telepictures and Warner Bros. ceased production of Crime Watch Daily at the end of the season with its final new episode airing on June 8, 2018. [14] [15]
