The Süper Lig (Turkish pronunciation: [ˈsypæɾ liɟ], Super League), officially known as Trendyol Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, [3] is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation.
İstanbulspor was the first team relegated to 2024–25 TFF First League after a 2–1 loss to Fatih Karagümrük at home on 20 April 2024, ending its two-year stay in Süper Lig. Fatih Karagümrük were themselves relegated after a 3–1 loss at Gaziantep on 18 May 2024, ending their four-year stay in the top flight.
A total of 20 teams contest the league, including 17 sides from the 2022–23 season and 2022–23 TFF First League champions Samsunspor, runners-up Rizespor and play-off winners Pendikspor. Rizespor immediately returned to top level and Pendikspor is competing in the Süper Lig for the first time in their history.
