Also make note, batons are apparently legal to wear in Alaska and (western) Canada, while Canada makes many other less than lethal tools illegal such as simple pepper sprays. (Canada is known for being strict with firearms.) As for California, it is even illegal (the last I knew) to carry a baseball bat.
