Birrieria La Plaza is a Mexican restaurant in Portland, Oregon, United States. Initially operating from a food cart in southeast Portland, the business has opened a brick and mortar location and operates a stall at Flock, the food hall in downtown Portland 's Block 216 .
The original Birrieria PDX operates from a red food cart on Division Street in southeast Portland's Centennial neighborhood, serving Mexican cuisine such as birria (including birria tacos and "birriamen", [1] or ramen with birria), [2] quesabirria, rice, beans, shredded meat, horchata, and agua frescas. It is operated by Urban Restaurant Group, which has also owned Brix Tavern, Carlita's, [14] [15] Fuller's Coffee Shop, [16] and Swank and Swine. [17] [18] Bartini has been described as the "sibling lounge" of Urban Fondue. [19] The general manager of Bartini and Urban Fondue died in 2024. [20]
