Clinton Township is a civil township of Lenawee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,765 at the 2020 census. [3] The village of Clinton is located within the township. Both the village and township are named in honor of DeWitt Clinton, the governor of New York from 1817 to 1823.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 32.41 square miles (83.94 km 2), of which 32.39 square miles (83.89 km 2) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km 2) (0.06%) is water. [5] The township is located northeast of the center of Clinton County. It surrounds the city of St. Johns, the county seat.
