Brembo sells over 1,300 products worldwide and is known for their aftermarket automotive brake components, including calipers, drums, rotors, and brake lines. Brembo owns the foundries that produce their initial materials and supply the manufacturing plants.
Originally used for braking both the front and rear wheels, drum brakes have largely been superseded by disc brakes or are used for rear-braking only. [4]: 17 The Lambretta TV125 Series 3 was the first modern [clarification needed] production motorcycle with a disc brake. [2]
A disc brake is a type of brake that uses the calipers to squeeze pairs of pads against a disc (sometimes called a [brake] rotor) [1] to create friction. [2] There are two basic types of brake pad friction mechanisms: abrasive friction and adherent [ further explanation needed ] friction. [ 3 ]
The embedded sensor in the brake pad 2 contacts the rotor and creates a connection to ground of the sensor. The metal plate 3 contacts the rotor and creates a noise. This wear clip should be positioned so that the rotor contacts the clip before it contacts the brake pad. The rotor should push against that clip, not drag it away from the brake pad.
Brembo brake system: 14 in (356 mm) rotors and six-piston calipers in front, and 13.4 in (340 mm) rotors and four-piston calipers in the rear; magnetic ride control, specific stabilizer bars and unique springs; electronic limited-slip differential; LT1 V8 engine rated at 460 hp (343 kW), with dry-sump oiling system and active exhaust

[1]Van Veen completed its first prototype in 1974 using a 1000 cc Comotor 624 twin-rotor Wankel engine, and in November 1974 it was exhibited at the Cologne motorcycle show with front and rear cast wheels and triple Brembo disc brakes.
